Scheduling a Private Puja
Archanas can be performed on a walk-in basis depending on the priest's availability. All other pujas and services to be performed at the Temple or at the devotee's residence must be scheduled with the priests in advance.
Scheduling Puja at Temple or at Home
Discuss the details of the Puja with Acharya, fill out the necessary documents, and make payment at the time of scheduling or after the puja is completed. For home-puja, please pay dakshina to the priest and $0.55 per mile for travel expenses.
Cancelling A Puja
A cancellation must be made 24 hours in advance. Rescheduling of Pujas is subject to the availability of the priests.
Dakshina
Offerings placed in the Ārathi-Plate in the Temple will go to the Temple Hundi. You can pay Dakshina to the priests in the temple by cash or check.
Guidelines for the use of priest’s services at or Away from The Temple
To better serve religious needs of devotees, help us by observing the following:
- Bring flowers, fruits, and other Puja articles as per priest’s instructions
- Adhere to the time allocated to you by the priests to avoid overlapping of other scheduled Pujas
- Save the priests' time and effort by keeping the area clean after the Puja at the Temple
- Pujas scheduled at devotees' homes must be ready by the scheduled time. This helps priests finish on time
- The Prasadam (food) to be offered at the Temple should be Sattvic (no onion & garlic)

Nithya, Puja During Festivals & Abhishekams Explanation
Nithya Puja: Our priests perform Nithya puja for all the Deities every morning on behalf of the families who have sponsored.
Puja during Festivals: Our priests perform Special Archana to Deities on all Major Festival days. During the ceremonies sponsor’s name(s) will be read. This does NOT include puja on New Year’s Day, Brahmotsavam, and Navagraha Makham.
Abhishekams Sponsorship: Our priests perform special Abhishekams every month to Lord Shiva, Ganesh, and Venkateshwara during which the sponsor’s name(s) will be read.
Note: Make checks payable to Hindu Temple of Oklahoma City (or ICF). For In-Temple pujas, devotee-group larger than 50 pay $150 extra and group larger than 100 pay $250 extra. All payments made to the Temple are fully tax deductible and are used to support OUR Temple to meet the yearly expenses.
