We are pleased to invite you to join us for a Samuhik Satyanarayana Pooja on the auspicious occasion of
Karthik Purnima, to be held at Hindu Temple of Oklahoma City on the evening of Nov 4’th Tuesday, 2025. We are
seeking 108 devoted couples or individuals to take part in this sacred ceremony, which promises to be a spiritually
enriching experience.

Significance of Karthik Purnima
Karthik Purnima, the full moon day in the month of Karthik, is a day dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is
believed that the divine rays of the moon on this day are especially potent, making it an ideal time to
perform rituals that bring immense blessings and spiritual benefits. By participating in the
Satyanarayana Pooja on this day, we can amplify the positive energy and invite peace, prosperity, and
well-being into our lives.

Importance of Satyanarayana Pooja
The Satyanarayana Pooja is a revered ritual dedicated to Lord Satyanarayana, a manifestation of Lord
Vishnu symbolizing truth and devotion. Performing this pooja is believed to help overcome difficulties,
achieve success, and bring harmony into one’s life. When done collectively, the spiritual energy and
blessings are greatly enhanced, making it a powerful act of communal devotion.

Karthika Deepa Pooja ( Saravalaya Deepam)
Following the Satyanarayana Pooja, we will also perform the Karthika Deepa Pooja, a ritual that holds
deep spiritual significance. This pooja involves lighting a lamp with 365 wicks, symbolizing the
illumination of our lives throughout the year. The festival is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu,
and it involves lighting oil lamps (deepams) to symbolize the victory of light over darkness. Devotees
also perform special poojas, including the Deepa Lakshmi Pooja, to seek blessings for prosperity and
well-being. Lighting this lamp on Karthik Purnima is believed to dispel darkness, both physical and
spiritual, and bring light, knowledge, and divine blessings into our homes and hearts.

Sacred Setting and Timing
Conducting these poojas in a temple, or by a serene lake shore, enhances their sanctity. Temples are
powerful centers of spiritual energy, and natural settings like lake shores add to the purity and
tranquility of the experience. Performing these rituals in the evening, when the energy of Karthik
Purnima is at its peak, further maximizes the spiritual benefits and ensures a deeply fulfilling experience
for all participants.
